Pastor A.J. Aamir recently told his leadership staff at Resurrecting Faith, DO NOT wear weaves. Pastor Aamir feels women wearing weaves presents a false image of themselves and are associated with women who have low self-esteem. What kind of Bull-Shit is this and what kind of advice did he offer to remaining congregation with self-esteem issues?
“Our black women are getting weaves trying to be something and someone they are not. Be real with yourself is all I’m saying” said Pastor Aamir. How in the hell can wearing a weave make you try to be something your not. How about you find another career because you are trying to be a pastor and you’re NOT!!!!!
Pastor Aamir admits he was raised in a strict household. His mother and father are members of the Islamic faith. At 39 years old, he leads a congregation whose average age is 22. He cannot blame this on Elijah Muhammad! The prophet gives a beautiful explanation of why women should cover their heads. This comment is a mixture of ego and ignorance that stems from his being, and obviously he did not pray for he opened his mouth!
“Long hair don’t care. What kind of mess is that? I don’t want my members so focused on what’s on their heads and not IN their heads” he told AmericaPreachers.com. I’m curious to know what’s in his head, and how does he wear his hair? I picture a Ron Burgundy look alike!
“I lead a church where our members are struggling financially. I mean really struggling. “Yet, a 26 year old mother in my church has a $300 weave on her head. NO. I will not be quiet about this.” The Bible says that our gifts will make way for us. Obviously, leading a church is not your gift. Pastor R.A. Vernon, leader of the Word franchises, conducts leadership trainings every year, and you definitely need to invest and attend one because you are becoming thirsty and desperate.
Pastor Aamir acknowledges he cannot legally prohibit women from wearing weaves in church, but he still highly disapproves it. Members run while you can before he begins to tell you about beginning your own private town…..
Ginger’s Thoughts – “In my BoonDocks Riley voice warning Grandpa” Resurrecting Faith was founded by Pastor Aamir, who grew up Muslim and seems to have some ill feelings toward his previous religion, and is located in Waco (Goggle it) Texas, and is in so much debt, instead of preaching about God, he is quoting weave prices, so this man could be a little on edge…..run….run….as fast as you can….
